Synopsis of the anime and manga “Attack on Titan”
The monstrous beings known as Titans first emerged a century ago, devouring everything but the last vestiges of humankind. The survivors hid behind huge walls and defensive structures. The Titans’ danger is long forgotten now, and Eren Yeager, a young child, is eager to see the world beyond his present situation. That innocent fantasy, however, will turn into an all too real nightmare when the Titans reappear and mankind is once more in danger of destruction. From 2009 to 2021, Kodansha serialized the ATTACK on TITAN manga in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine. The series won several prizes in Japan and the US, including the Harvey Award and Kodansha Manga Award.
