Niseko is very famous for its powder snow among tourists and locals. This place is running since 1982. So, it is one of the oldest places.

The perfect way to reach Niseko is, first to fly from New Chitose airport and then book a cab or take a bus to Niseko. This is the most convenient way to reach the destination. One can get buses easily in the winter season, however, it is hard to get buses in summer. One can book transportation in advance to avoid any issues in advance.

Nozawa onsen

Japanese locals believe that the Nozawa onsen was discovered by some Buddhist monk back in 724 AD. It almost has been 1293 years.

Meiho

Meiho is located in the Gujo region. This is considered one of the best snowboarding regions in Japan. Meiho is located in the western regions of Japan. It has four ski slopes. Kiroro

This is more modernised in comparison to other snowboarding destinations for snowboarders and tourists. It is situated near Hokkaido city of Sapporo. This is situated in the northernmost areas of Japan.

Naeba

In the last years, coronavirus outbreaks caused increased cases of covid patients and infections in Japan and all over the world. It had a direct effect on everything. It also has affected the snowboarding business in Japan. Japan banned foreign tourists to enter and other countries also banned their people to visit other countries. However, it was a wise decision made by all. This decreased the economy of Japan. Many people lost their employment. Slowly, everything is getting better day by day. And everything is returning to their respective tracks.

The snowboarding business is also coming on track. Snowboard lovers are also visiting. However, a lot of safety measures and precautions are applied over everything, which is a natural and safe priority.

Resorts in Japan who were welcoming snowboard lovers, we’re getting most of the tourists from its neighbouring countries. Places  from where Japan was getting the highest number of visitors are

More visitors meant more economic growth for the country and more employment. This all decreased due to the covid outbreak. Almost all of the resorts fell into bankruptcy.

Everything is getting fine now and everyone is getting recovered from all of their losses in employment and personal lives.

Expenses have increased a lot, obviously to overcome the losses. Prices have increased a lot. Rides and resorts are overpriced as a result of covid situations.

Resorts are finding ways to attract more and more numbers of foreigners and locals.

Weather affecting snowboarding

Japan is experiencing the worst winters in the past few years. This has directly affected the snowboarding business and snowboarders as well. Snowboarders and tourists are disappointed as well. In the Hokkaido regions, they are experiencing very low snowfall or a negligible amount of snowfall. In the Niseko regions too, they are experiencing a negligible amount of snowfall.

Most of the time, snowboarding competitions are cancelled due to this situation. In the Nagano region, the situation is even worse.

Japan has an international reputation in snowboarding and has attracted a lot many tourists and foreigners as well as locals. It always fulfils this void.
