Moyoco Anno is the author & illustrator of the Japanese manga series Hataraki Man, often known as [働きマン] or “Working Man.” Before being on an extended break, it was published in the Seinen Manga magazine ‘Morning’ issued by Kodansha from 2004 to 2008. The protagonist of the manga is Hiroko Matsukata, a 28-year-old editor of “Weekly Jidai”. The story follows Hiroko as a true “working man” due to her commitment to her work life. Fans wonder if it continues the story from the 4th volume that was released back in 2007. It is highly anticipated as the last volume was pretty conclusive yet ambiguous.
An eleven-episode television anime based on the manga aired in October 2006. In January 2019, Maiden Japan released the anime on Blu-ray Disc.
Shogakukan will also release the 安野 モヨコ 専修 [Moyoco Anno Selection] work on June 27. The “Anno’s Flowers and Bees” manga was published in North America by Viz Media. Later Udon Entertainment subsequently achieved the license of the “Sugar Sugar Rune” manga by Del Rey, and “Sakuran” manga was finally created by Vertical.
