It wasn’t until July 6, 2024, that a brand-new trailer for the second season of Shangri-La Frontier Season 2 came out with a promotional visual. The release dates for this highly-anticipated anime adaptation, from the same manga written by Katarina and illustrated by Ryousuke Fuji, are set for airing on October 13, 2024.
The new season will follow in the previous footsteps in structure: also being a two-part show.
The second season of the Shangri-La Frontier is slated to air on 13 October 2024.
The new teaser trailer and visuals are sure to get fans buzzing. Don’t miss out on the latest details!
The continuation of the anime will be in a two-season series that runs for approximately six months, just like its first season.
The first season premiered from October 2023 to March 2024 and had a total of 25 episodes. Studio C2C, the Animation Studio behind “The Journey of Elaina,” “Otaku Elf,” “Tsukimichi Moonlit Fantasy,” and “Reincarnated as a Sword,” is still in charge of the animation production for the sequel.
While there isn’t an official synopsis for Shangri-La Frontier season 2, it easily gives the guess that the story would head further with Sunraku into his journey in the virtual world of Shangri-La Frontier.
Synopsis
The series follows Rakurou Hizutome, a high school student and gamer known in the game as Sunraku, who likes to play difficult, usually buggy games shunned by most players. This new season continues to bring out even more of the type of adventures and trials that Sunraku and his friends are consequential to in their playing within this complex virtual reality game.
Being the main protagonist, Sunraku seems very competitive when it comes to playing games.
His Shangri-La journey really pushes these gaming abilities to their limit and gives the readers an adrenaline surge unlike any other. In this game, he actually turns out to be a very strong player due to his strategic mind and adaptability.
