Exciting news for anime fans! “Honey Lemon Soda,” set to premiere in January 2025 on Fuji TV’s “+Ultra,” has announced four new voice cast members.
Four more voice actors have been added to the anime adaptation of Honey Lemon Soda, including Rie Takahashi. The anime will air in January 2025 via animation produced by J.C. Staff. In fact, here’s the new cast and their characters: ‘Honey Lemon Soda’

They join lead characters Uka Ishimori, voiced by Kana Ichinose, and Shogo Yano, voiced by Kai Miura. All characters appear in the teaser image that has been released. Additionally, the anime team includes Hiroshi Nishikiori as director and Akiko Waba as series writer. Furthermore, we have Aimi Tanaka as the character designer and Akira Kosemura as the music composer.

The Honey Lemon Soda manga is created and illustrated by Mayu Murata and has been serialized in Shueisha’s Ribon magazine since December 2015. A live-action film adaptation of the series also showed up in July 2021. Yen Press publishes the manga in English and summarizes it thus:
Uka Ishimori has been having tough times since middle school, completely forgetting what it’s like to be sad or happy or even greet someone by saying “hello.” A fateful encounter with the lemon-haired boy gives her a glimmer of hope for a better life if only she asks for help.

Official website of the new anime adaptation announced additional voice cast. Kana Ichinose voices the character of Uka Ishimori, while Shogo Yano voices her love interest Kai Miura. “I want to describe how particular and natural Serina is while taking care of her feelings,” Rie Takahashi said of Serina’s character. Based on Mayu Murata’s shojo romance manga which started serialization in Shueisha’s RIBON magazine on December 28th, 2015, it has been compiled into 26 volumes as of August 2024. The manga is published in English in North America by Yen Press.
