One-Punch Man fans, don’t panic! The manga is taking a 2-week hiatus, but it’s not forever! Catch up on Chapter 201 and get ready for Chapter 202’s return on August 22.
The fan-favourite Shonen series One-Punch Man is about to take a two-month-long hiatus, leaving the fanbase in the dust. For a series that started strictly as a webcomic, it has always been an overachieving oddity for a manga. So, by the time it returns in August 2024 (as it’s lightly hinted at doing), it will likely not be the same as when it initially made its debut on the scene of the series. People associated with One-Punch Man have, in fact, confirmed such a development.
Why is it taking a break? And when can we expect it to return?
The manga finally resumes serialization on August 22nd.
Murata and ONE debuted the One-Punch Man manga signatures on Shueisha’s free “Tonari no Young Jump” website in 2012. Murata and ONE have continued to publish the manga since 2012, and the number of its chapters has gone over 200. It is based on the same-titled original web manga by ONE. Shueisha will release the 31st volume of collected volumes for the manga digitally and in print on July 4. Viz Media is releasing the series digitally and in print.
We know nothing as to why One-Punch Man is taking a break. For now, the One-Punch Man hiatus left fans scratching their heads. But….Our dear fans don’t need to worry. They’ve got to be kneading their brain matter for nothing as they’ll have it good when the two-month break zips by.
The anime will get a third season, with some returning cast and staff from the previous seasons.
Good news, good news! We will soon get a One-Punch Man Live-action Film.
Another report from Anime News Network also says it’s spawning a Hollywood live-action film adaptation. The Hollywood Reporter wrote on April 12 that the live-action film is getting rewritten by Rick and Morty co-creator and Community creator Dan Harmon, and screenwriter Heather Anne Campbell.
This is according to artist Yusuke Murata so he could make “various adjustments and preparations” for the next few chapters of the manga. Although, exactly what those preparations are isn’t entirely clear from the announcement.
Synopsis:
Saitama is a rather unattractive-looking fellow who has a rather unique hobby. His hobby is to be a hero. To realize his childhood dream, Saitama trained nonstop for three years. Afterwards, this led him to become bald. Saitama is now an overly powerful man who rips every enemy apart with a punch. Still, having nobody who could match his strength brought Saitama to an unexpected problem—which is he could no longer feel the rush of battling and, quite plainly, was bored.
