Get ready for the final chapter! Kaiju No. 8’s spinoff manga: B-Side, is coming to an end in just two weeks!
Chapter 11 of the Kaiju No. 8: B-Side spinoff manga from Naoya Matsumoto’s Kaiju No. 8, from creator Kentarō Hidano and Keiji Andō is coming to an end. It was revealed on Friday that the manga will end with the subsequent chapter on July 12.
An anime television series adaptation premiered on April 13, on TV Tokyo. The show will be simulcast with English subtitles on Crunchyroll and run with an English dub too. Parallel to the Japanese broadcast, the anime was streamed in real-time worldwide on X, formerly Twitter. An anime sequel has been announced.

Kaiju No. 8: YarisugiArena, B-Side is an official spinoff series with a story from original creators Naoya Matsumoto and Keiji Ando, illustrated by Kentaro Hidano. This spin-off manga published its first chapter back in January 2024. Now it has been announced that Chapter 12 will be the grand finale of the spin-off manga when it releases with Jump+ in Japan on July 12th. Not just that, but with Viz Media’s digital Shonen Jump Library in North America on July 11th. So, in total, this will be a six-month run!
The anime for Kaiju No. 8 just wrapped up! Now the spinoff manga will do the same later this month! Kaiju No. 8 has been a huge hit with Shueisha’s Jump+ app since it started in 2020. It blew up to a new scale with the successful launch of its anime adaptation this spring. But the year began strong overall as Kaiju No. 8’s manga started to release a spinoff series exploring more of the Defense Force with stories we didn’t see in the original.
